A few more severe than others. So how do we know when the cramps are not normal. There must be something going? Is it normal to have menstrual cramps, are there disorders when you have severe cramps, mood swings, abnormal bleeding, missed periods and painful period beyond cramps.
It is normal to have mild cramps, but when they get severe, you may want to contact your physician.

Normal cramps are fairly easy to treat, and usually last for three or four days at the start of your period.
